DON WROTE:

Hello Pastor Lazarus,

Thanks for taking time to WRAP with us.

I will pray for you; but more importantly, I want you to enter into your prayer closet each day with the following Scripture in mind.

Romans 8:
26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27: And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

If you will do this, I'm satisfied that the Lord Jesus will not only teach you to pray; but that he will also meet your most pertinent need.  He always does this for me and I am sure that He will honor His Word for you as well.

However, from your list of "needs," a word of caution is in order.  Please do not be impressed by the churches and the religious organizations in the USA–unless you first consider the following Scripture.

Luke 6:
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

So, Jesus said that we are known by our fruit; and the fruit of most churches and organizations in America is not the winning of souls.  Furthermore, if the main goal of a religious organization is not the salvation of souls; then a wise believer would do well to avoid such less he or she get caught up in their fruitless programs and have to go empty handed when it is for them to stand before their Savior.

Remember, the goal and the fruit of any beginning ministry should be souls converted to the Kingdom of God.  Not only is this God's will, but it is the way that His Church is built and the way that godly churches are built.  If you will look at your lists of "needs," you will see that any of them that are genuine would be met as you "walk in the Spirit" and allow the Lord to use you in the saving of the lost.  As souls are saved and they in turn bring their friends and loved ones to the Lord, the congregation grows and you will have others who love the Lord that will help you in your endeavors.  As a consequence, a list of needs may grow, but the Lord will then meet your needs as He has promised.  Brethren, do not be deceived.  You do not need a list of "things" to do the Lord's work.  In fact, everyone that answers the call of the Lord has all that they need for they have a mouth and a heart full of the Love of God.  If they then learn to walk in the Spirit and trust God–He will add the increase.

As per the words of one of B'Ann's songs. "Go with God, and He will go with you!"

TO OUR CYBER-VISITORS:

Our good friend and Christian brother, Marvin Lacy, forwarded an E-mail to us that we would like to share.  (Marvin's web site is one of our favorites.  You can find it on our site by clicking on THE SINGING MAILMAN button.)

THE STUMP

His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and
leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the
whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays
of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out
for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a
man.

He cannot tell the other boys of this experience,
because each lad must come into manhood on his own.
The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of
noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe
even some human might do him harm. The wind blew the
grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat there,
never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way
he could become a man...

Finally, after a horrific night, the sun appeared and he
remove d his blindfold. It was then that he discovered
his father sitting on the stump next to him. He had been
at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it,
our Heavenly Father is watching over us, sitting on the
stump beside us. When trouble comes, all we have to do
is reach out to Him.

Moral of the story?
Just because you can't see God, doesn't mean
He is not there.

'For we walk by faith, not by sight.'
(2 Corinthians 5:7)

DON WROTE:

I would like to add some additional truths that helps me in my walk of faith.

1. God is boundless: i.e., He can go on forever in a geometric straight line in every direction and there's nothing that can stop Him.

2. The Bible says in Acts 17: 28:
"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."

3. In addition, the Bible says in Romans 8:11:
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

Think about it!  We are in Him and He is in us; and our faith is so important to Him that He did not leave us on our own.  Faith is a gift from Him and a fruit of His precious abiding Holy Spirit!  Saints, without faith it is impossible to please God  (Hebrews 11:6); but He has made it so easy that "all" may please Him.  Isn't God good?
