| TO OUR CYBER-VISITORS:
Richard sent us a lengthy discourse of his
studies of prophecy which is too long to put up in its entirety; so, I've
chosen a couple of excerpts with which to make a point. I will
highlight his words in yellow.
...2 Tim 3:1,2,5: “There will be terrible times in the LAST {2} DAYS {Or
Last 2,000 Years}. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money,
boastful, proud…. HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM.” This statement, of course,
confirms that they were in the LAST DAYS AT THAT TIME which was right before
the death of Paul {As per 2 Tim 4:6b}. We know that 2nd Timothy was written
by Paul just before his death because of 2 Tim 4:6b: “The time has come for
my departure.” Historical records confirm that the execution of Paul came
about by the command of the 6th Caesar {Nero Caesar} in AD 66; which was of
course LESS than 2,000 years ago. It is interesting to note that the name
Nero Caesar adds up to 666 in Hebrew. Nero Caesar {666}, the 6th Caesar who
killed Paul and Peter in AD 66, will come up out of the Abyss or Hell to
rule the world from the evil city {See Rev 17:9} on 7 hills {Rome} during
the 1260-day Great Tribulation. According to Rev 13:14b, 666 was fatally
wounded by the sword and yet will live again. Nero Caesar was fatally
wounded by his own sword on June 9th, AD 67!!...
...
I Timothy 6:13a-15a: “I charge you to keep this command… until the appearing
of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in HIS OWN TIME.” In
human time the Last 2 Days would always be as 48 hours but in GOD’S OWN TIME
the LAST 2 DAYS could be as 2,000 YEARS!! 2 Peter 3:8: “With the Lord a DAY
is like 1,000 years and 1,000 years are like a DAY!!”
Hosea 6:2-3: “After 2 DAYS {Or 2,000 Years or the LAST {2} DAYS??} the Lord
will revive US; on the 3rd DAY He will restore US; that WE may live in HIS
presence… as surely as the sun rises He will appear!!” Luke 24:46: Jesus
said, “This is what is WRITTEN: “The Christ will suffer and rise from the
dead on the 3rd DAY.” Now Hosea 6:2 is the ONLY passage in the OT that
mentions a resurrection on the 3rd DAY AFTER 2 DAYS. The amazing fact is
that this passage also promises that God’s saints will *ALSO* be raised on
the 3rd DAY AFTER 2 DAYS which could be 2,000 Years since it can not be two
24-hour days. Hosea 6:2,3: “After 2 DAYS {Or 2,000 Years??} the Lord will
revive *US*; on the 3rd DAY he will restore *US*; that *WE* may live in His
presence!”
Hosea 6:2,3: “After 2 DAYS {April 3-5, AD 33} {Or 2,000 Years April 5, AD 12
to April 5, AD 2012??} the Lord will revive *US* {Jesus and His saints} that
*WE* may live in His presence… As surely as the sun rises {Or at sunrise
April 5th, AD 33 and at sunrise, April 5th AD 2012??} He {Jesus} will
appear!!”
When I began my studies of Biblical
prophecy, the Holy Spirit impressed upon me the following passages of
Scripture--especially the parts that I have underlined!
1 Corinthians 2:9-13
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love
him.
But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in
him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is
of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with
spiritual.
2 Peter 1:19-21
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take
heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and
the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of
God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 24:32-36
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch
is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near,
[even] at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things
be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but
my Father only.
II Thessalonians 2:1-8
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and
[by] our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor
by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except
there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of
perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself
that he is God.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will
let], until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the
spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
True, we are to study the Word to show ourselves approved unto God; but
as we just read, there are conditions to this kind of study. That is, we
must depend upon the Holy Spirit to teach us--and as Peter wrote, this is
especially true of the prophetic portions. Consequently, the
thoughtful believer might think twice before he gets caught up in the trap
of trying to name the "end-time beast" or naming a date for the Lord's
return. It is the Lord's will that each believer be aware of the signs
of the time and know the "season." But even Jesus does not know the
day of His return, only the Father; and for us to search the Scriptures for
such is both disobedient and futile.
Let's sum up by saying that we should look at Paul's command to "study
the Word" in it's entirety. (As with all Scripture, it should be read
in its context.)
II Tim 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Note that Paul addresses those who do study to be approved by God as a "workman."
And what is our work for God? When we first begin our walk with the
Lord Jesus, we are to study the Bible to learn what we can about God and
about
the new man He has made us to be in Christ Jesus. If we approach the
Bible with a humble spirit, then we will grow in grace and truth!
Peter put it this way.
I Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow
thereby:
But grow into what? Paul says we are to grow into a "workman"!
But what is our work? I would not dare to try to tell anyone what
their work is in the Lord--for we all have our own work to do.
However, I do feel confident that I am not amiss when I say that if
we have as our motivation the salvation of those outside of Christ and the welfare of others,
then we are working from a solid foundation! I'm not putting down the
study of Bible Prophecy, for my study of prophecy has been a joyous thing.
But I am convinced that it must be done in God's time and in His Holy
Spirit. In short, I'm satisfied that God first wants us to
want to be soul winners, and then all the other good things will
follow!!! Do not all true believers want to follow Jesus? What
does say Jesus about following Him?
Matthew 4:18-22
And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called
Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were
fishers.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you
fishers of men.

TERRI WROTE:
I'm doing a self-study on Revelation. I found your site in looking for
the precious stones on Aaron's breastplate. Thank you. Question is, how did
you arrive at the Apostle's stones? Also, Mathias is missing. I know about
the gates (Ge, Ez and Rev) being different. Ephriam and Menassah and Dan,
etc. and I understand that these stones would still include Dan and not yet
have Joseph's kids in Aaron's breastplate. What I do not know is what stone
would they have as they became a tribe? Guess what I'm still searching for
is the East gate Apostle name. Matthew and Peter are for sure so I guess
Andrew is last one without. Right? Where did you find these?
This is Terri...Thx!
DON WROTE:
Hello Terri, I guess the best way
I know to explain how I wrote the books and studies on the web is to compare
it to songwriting. When the family and I write a song, it just drops
into our spirits. We then have to write it down right away lest we
forget it. This is the way with my study of prophecy. Ideas and
concepts would drop into my spirit and then I would go to the Scriptures to
see if they were so, which they were. I have written so much so fast
that often when I go to my books, as your Email has me to do, I have to
study it out to see what I have written. In other words, I am not a
prophecy expert--just an obedient servant of Christ doing my best to follow
the leadership of His Spirit. I do know that Matthias has no place in the
precious-stone line up because his choice was of man (the apostles'--see
Acts 1:12-26) and not God. As to God's choice for the twelfth
disciple, he was the Apostle Paul (see Romans 1:1 and Galatians 1:1). May
you find what you are looking for as you search the Scriptures. Love,
Don
